7 LaTeX usage. Asymptote comes with a convenient LaTeX style file asymptote.sty (v1.35 or later required) that makes LaTeX Asymptote-aware.Entering Asymptote code directly into the LaTeX source file, at the point where it is needed, keeps figures organized and avoids the need to invent new file names for each figure. To include a graph in a TeX or LaTeX document as a figure use the Latex command. To test if a Maple object G is a graph use the test: type(G,Graph) . The ImportGraph and ExportGraph commands are for reading a graph from, and writing a graph to, a file in one of the supported data formats. A tree is a connected graph without any circuits. The graph in Fig 3-5 for instance, is a tree. It follows immediately from the definition that a tree has to be a simple graph, that is, having neither a self-loop nor parallel edges (because they both form circuits). Fig. 3-5. Tree. Trees appear in numerous instances. For a diagram for a class this week, I've written a LaTeX command to draw star graphs using TikZ. A star graph $K_{1,n}$ is a graph with a single central node, $n$ radial nodes, and $n$ edges connecting the central node to each radial node.
